Signature
You many have notice a variation of my signatures in recent months. I have been transitioning from “Kip Herring” to “Arthur Herring”…and now finally “Arthur Airin”. Arthur is my middle name, and have grown out of “Kip”, so this is the natural replacement. “Airin” has a story behind it.. I will reveal more at a later time. But for now, enjoy being utterly confused at my various signatures. (..and dream of the eventual value these paintings will have with their unique signatures.
First Friday August 6th 5-9
Please join me here at my studio, this Friday, for a rare open studio. New work will be available, and as always… you may take home an original painting for only a 50% deposit. We will make arrangements for a monthly payment plan thereafter. Some work will not be framed, to allow you to make your on framing choices later.
Other attractions will be be right here at the Warehouse Mall that night, including a car show, and a rollar derby event, with other vendors. So, you have mulitple reasons to make your way over here that night.
Please come on down, and support the local Arts!
Mural Completed!
Although, I’m a little behind in posting this notice, the mural was completed last month on the corner of Higgins and Brooks in Missoula, Montana. It was a great success, especially in the way I happened to start work on the 1st day of four (precisely what I needed) of nice weather, and no rain. The day after completion… downpour! (and for the next monh) Many passerbys offered their very positive comments and feedback, was interviewed twice by local TV channels, lots of waves, honks and hollars from traffic… was great fun. Thank you all who made it such a positive event! (and to all who donated money over the last couple years… you bought the supplies for the mural…couldn’t have happened without you!)
Still accepting new private/residential/business projects for the next year.
Next public project? The painting of a traffic signal box somewhere in town, within a couple months. (Thanks for the invitation by the Public Art Committee)
Mural Update 2-27-10
For those of you keeping track of the mural progress… YES! It will happen soon! I hope to have supplies ordered and ready to go within a month or so. With a little more patience, we’ll see the finished mural this spring. Cheers
